XSMG’s XSR48 Superboat: the “Bugatti Veyron” of the Sea

XSMG is a company that began with a simple goal: to build the world’s first supercar on the water.  The result of XSMG’s efforts is the sleekly-styled and equally powerful  XSR48, which accomplishes that company’s goal of  combining “the DNA and high performance of a supercar with superyacht styling.”

The 1600+ horsepower powerboat is powered by two diesel engines, which propel the 48-foot XSR48 to a top speed of 98 mph (85 knots).   The superboat’s hull is made of kevlar and carbon fiber with cross linked pvc cores bonded using vinylester and epoxy resins.
