World’s Oldest Motor Car to Hit the Auction Block

The car belongs to the 1884 era and is the second prototype commissioned by Count de Dion. The car was nicknamed ‘La Marquise’ after Count de Dion’s mother. Dubbed as the ‘world’s oldest motorcar’, this historic 1884 de Dion Bouton et Trepardoux Dos-a-Dos Steam Runabout has the unique privilege of taking part in the world’s first automobile race.
