On the Auction Block: The Rare Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Coupe and Roadster

It’s time to whip out that check book and get out your ball point pen. Both a 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Coupe and a 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster are on the auction block. These are some of the Mercedes elite as only 25 CLK GTR’s were ever produced; 20 coupes and five roadsters.

Both rides were built by AMG sister company HWA, and run with the same beast under the hood; a 612 horsepower, 6.9-liter V12 engine with dual overhead cams. The powerhouse engines are mounted atop a manual six-speed sequential gearbox which the driver controls with paddle-shifters. Read the rest of this entry »
