Mansory, a German customizer known for its interesting design sense, has unveiled its new take on the Mercedes McLaren SLR.
The name of the game in redesigning the SLR was “evolution instead of revolution,” so the most dramatic changes were made to the car’s exterior. And, aside from a new gold paint job, Mansory gave the SLR numerous carbon fiber body components and ultra-light forged wheels.
Under the hood, Mansory supercharged the 5.5-liter, 626 hp V8 engine to shave off two tenths of a second from the car’s 0-62 mph time and take the top end speed to just over 211 mph.

Earlier today, PistonHeads tipped us off on the latest Aston Martin DB9/ Volante to come out of Mansory, a German-based customization shop that works almost exclusively on high-end British cars.
Their latest DB9 features a number of stylistic changes but no performance upgrades to speak of. We’ve listed some of the noteworthy modifications below:
- Twenty-inch fully forged lightweight aluminum wheels
- On the front bumper: Hella Xenon driving light and daytime running light and chromed
- Body kit w/ rear apron, rear spoiler, side skirts, and new intakes
- Lowered suspension
- Larger brakes
- Interior w/ maple wood, carbon fibre and alcantara
- Sport steering wheel
Piston heads bashed the body kit. We agree. Although the new custom interior might make up for it? You decide.
