Lazareth Wazuma Quad Resemles Low Rider

August 10th, 2009 by BallerRide

This Lazareth quad powered by a supercharged BMW V12 pushes 500bhp when running on E85. It reminds us of a low rider, being so close to the ground and with wheels that resemble the Bentley S3 E more than an ATV. Lazareth keeps the powerful 500bhp Wazuma Quad on the road with the narrow rear track, which provides adequate straight line traction, and keeps the torque from flipping the quad on its side. Lateral staility comes from the wide front track which also allows for the countersteer needed to keep the pedal down and the rear track spinning. The Quad is priced at $283,000.

Rear End of Polaris RUSH Changes the Snowmobile Forever

February 25th, 2009 by BallerRide

polarish-2010-rear-view.jpg

It’s being heralded as the future of Snowmobiling; the Polaris RUSH features the first truly progressive-rate bottomless rear suspension. The 2010 600 RUSH has a rear end designed to absorb even the toughest bumps, transferring the load to the super-rigid PRO-RIDE chassis which isolates the rider from spine tinglers. Polaris borrowed the rear suspension and mono-chrome arm of a motocross bike or ‘adventure’ motorcycle when creating the RUSH. We’re going to go out on a limb and say that the Polaris RUSH beats out the best sleds for backcounrty boarding which include the Polaris 800 Dragon RMK and the Ski-doo Summit 800R Power T.E.K.

Polaris has outfitted the RUSH with Read the rest of this entry »

Scorpian Prodigy 3 Wheeler Mixes Sports Car with Superbike

February 23rd, 2009 by BallerRide

In the world of three-wheel rides there are only a few that really stick out. Our favorite is the Cirbin V13R Trike for it’s style and two-seat functionality, but the Scorpian Prodigy more than holds it’s own. Powered by a Suzuki Hayabusha engine, the Prodigy mixes the speeed of a superbike with the look and feel of a lightweight sports car. With one wheel in the back and two in the front the car is stable enough to push 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and 1.5g on a skidpad.

While the Prodigy isn’t as energy efficient or futuristic as the Scarab, it comes at the afforadable price of $40,000 from Scorpian Motorsports. Judging by the website, it looks like Scorpian is going to allow you to build your own Prodigy with customizations very soon.
