Edo Builds LP710, World’s Fastest Lamborghini

LP 710 by Edo Competition

After setting the record for the world’s fastest Lamborghini with its modified 663hp version of the Lamborghini LP640, Edo Competition has released an even faster version of the supercar, dubbed the LP710. As the name implies, Edo’s twice-tuned Lambo packs an incredible 710hp with 516 ft-lb of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds and top out at an estimated 224 mph.

To achieve greater power on its LP, Edo’s added an adjustable lip to the optimized rear wing and given the Lambo new exhaust headers, high-flow catalytic converters, mufflers, performance camshafts, high flow air filters, modified cylinder heads, reprogrammed engine controls and an improved exhaust tip.

Edo’s LP package will run you $77,000 on top of the $400,000 you’ll spend on the stock Lambo. Not exactly inexpensive.  But with the LP710, you’ll have the ability to drive faster than Bruce Wayne, who drove the stock LP640 in The Dark Knight.

Edo Competition Releases Gallardo Superleggera

June 26th, 2008 by BallerRide

Edo Competition is at it again, this time releasing a tuned Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, the company’s second Lambo project. The 590 horsepower Edo Gallardo achieves 30 hp more than the stock version and adds four mph at the top end, maxing out at 199 mph. Edo’s gallardo also runs the 0-62 sprint in a quick 3.7 seconds and does 0-124 in 11.7 seconds.

To achieve this power increase, Edo’s added high flow breathing components, such as a massive air box and newly designed high-flow catalytic converters, plus a re-calibrated engine control unit.

Stylistically, the tuner’s added three piece 19-inch racing wheels, Dunlop Sport Maxx tires, lowered racing suspension, and smoked side mirrors. Finally, Edo Competition has added a volume-controlled exhaust system, which you can peep in the video after the jump.

Lamborghini & Versace Parter on LP640 Roadster

June 24th, 2008 by BallerRide

versace-lambo.jpg

It’s nothing new for luxury car makers and fashion brands to join forces to release limited edition whips, like the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès we covered back in March. And for Lamborghini and Versace, their history of partnering up extends back to 2006, when the two companies collaborated to offer up a small release of 10 LP640 coupes and a black coupe for a charity fund raiser. Well, the Italian luxury brands are back at it again, this time creating a re-styled LP640 that will be available to anyone in the general public who’s got the cash.

The new Lamborghini/Versace roadster, announced yesterday at Men’s Fashion Week in Milan, sports a pastel white color throughout the exterior and interior and is finished with accents from Versace’s Greek fret motif. For the first time, the LP640 comes with a transparent hood, providing a clean view into the powerful V12 below.

Versace’s designers worked with Lamborghini Design Center’s new “ad personam” customization program to complete the LP640’s design. Versace will also be releasing a new accessory line to match the car that will hit showrooms in November, 2008. The Versace/Lamborghini accessory line will include a trolley bag, suit carrier, sports bag, as well as a briefcase, a suitcase, gloves, driving shoes, a belt, a wallet, a key ring, a beauty case, a hat and a pair of jeans.

Update: the Versace LP640 will carry at $358,000 price tag.

Jenna Jameson’s Lambo Up for Sale

April 3rd, 2008 by BallerRide

j-lambo-1.jpgeBay has been full of good finds lately, but this one’s our favorite: listed for sale with a Buy it Now price of $182,900 is a 2002 Lamborghini Murcielago previously owned by porn queen Jenna Jameson. The pearl yellow Murci comes with a black interior and features a number of upgrades, such as an in-dash touch screen radio, aftermarket exhaust, a front lift system, and more.

As far as we can tell, there don’t appear to be any suspicious stains on the carpeting. Although, we’d probably want to run a black light through the cockpit before we hopped in. Mileage on the Lambo is 11,658. The car is currently located in Denton, Texas but can be shipped anywhere in the country.

Suspicious Lamborghini Reventon For Sale

February 11th, 2008 by BallerRide

reventon.jpg

If you want to get your hands on one of the 20 Lamborhini Reventons that have been built but missed the initial release, there MIGHT still be an opportunity. On duPont Registry’s website, we came across a Reventon selling for $750,000. The listing claims the car is “part of a deceased estate.” But considering that all 20 Reventons initially sold for one million euros, or about $1.45 million, this listing looks suspicious.

However, the company selling the car is located in London, so the car may actually be a more realistic £750,000 (just under $1.5 million). We can’t vouch for the authenticity of this listing, but it may be worth exploring further if you can’t live without the Reventon in your garage.
