Big-name boat builder Hatteras has introduced a new 56-foot Motor Yacht to its fleet, making the new boat the smallest in the company’s motor yacht lineup. Priced at under $2 million, the new Hatteras is the perfect entry-level boat for an owner-operator looking to test the waters as captain.

The Hatteras 56 features clean exterior lines, a surprisingly large interior, and a pair of pair of powerful 705-hp Cummins QSM11 engines positioned in a space-saving V-drive configuration.

A large flybridge and aft (back) deck provide substantial entertaining space, as does the boat’s open upper deck interior configuration. The lower interior deck comes with three staterooms, two heads, and an option to convert one of the staterooms to private crew quarters.

The motor yacht’s maneuverable size means you shouldn’t encounter many problems entering remote bays or finding a slip at night. (Manufacturer link and interior layout pic and  after the jump).
