Pharrell Williams & Creative Cycles teamed up to design the artist’s dream bike & all we can say is: “Wow!”. The bike is a modern take on classic American army styling, all packaged in the form of a Cross Bones model from Harley Davidson.
Pharrell & Doug Keim of Creative Cycles worked together to on the design, with the artist favoring the more classic styling of older models, which is why the soft-tail model was chosen.
The details & finishing touches have been designed with a ‘weathered & worn’ look, to fit the bike’s styling and and take the wow factor up a notch.

At the upcoming Legend of the Motorcycle Concours d’Elegance on May 3rd, seven collectible Harley bikes will go up for auction. Of the seven, six are motorbikes from the museum collection of the Santa Cruz Harley-Davidson dealership in California. The other is a rare 1918 Schwinn-looking Harley-Davidson bicycle that was marketed for only a short period of time.
According to MotorcycleUSA, “the Harley motorbikes, which have been on view at the dealership’s museum, include: 1929 JDH – at the time, the fastest road bike Harley offered to the public; 1930 VL with sidecar – found in Chile and now beautifully restored; 1941 EL; 1947 WL; 1967 FLH; and 1978 XLH.”
The auction will take place at the ocean-side Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, California and is being hosted by Bonhams & Butterfields.

The new FLSTSB Softail Cross Bones model was announced today at the Harley-Davidson Winter Dealer Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. With the retro look of a Springer front end and other post-war era bobber styling cues like a sprung solo seat, half-round rider footboards, Gloss Black round air cleaner cover and chopped front fender, the Softail Cross Bones rides with a Black and Polished Twin Cam 96B powertrain, 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission and truly unique Softail suspension.
The Cross Bones is the newest unique addition to Harley-Davidson’s Dark Customs line, which now includes six bikes in total. “Only Harley-Davidson could do this bike,” said Bill Davidson, Harley-Davidson Vice President of Core Customer Marketing. Read the rest of this entry »
