Fastest Lawnmower Sets World Record

A while ago we reported on Bobby Cleveland & his quest to have the fastest lawnmower in the world. He was on his way to England to check out a competitor’s attempts to break his then world record, one he set in July 2006.

Obviously his record was beaten (87.833 mph in comparison to his 80.833 mph) & so Clevelend took it like a man: he put all his effort into modifying a lawnmower to get the title of Fastest Lawnmower back.

His attempts at Bonneville Salt Flats proved fruitful & Cleveland set the new record at 88.94 mph on the first day. But with Cleveland being who he is, a 1 mile per hour difference between him & the other guys just wasn’t enough & so he set to fine-tuning his mower that night, coming out the next morning in full glory with an amazing  96.529 mph!

Fastest Little Lawnmower in the West

There are many questions in life to ponder. Here over at Baller, we’ve been wondering a few things for quite some time now, like; why is the plastic they use to cover cds so indestructible, can you have too many Armani suits & who is the fastest man on a lawnmower.

Well so far it’s this guy: Bobby Cleveland, the Engine Answerman for Gold Eagle  & he set the World Speed Record for Lawn Mowers on the 4th July 2006 at 80.792 mph on the famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.

In a few days time he’ll be in England to witness  the British attempt to break the record & exceed the 100mph barrier.
