Not ready to drop six figures on a new S-Class? With Mercedes newest edition to its Bike Collection, the 2008 Trailblazer, you can still ride on dubs, and you’ll only have to drop 2,790 Euros (U.S. $4,412) to get one.

Much like the S-Class, the Mercedes Trailblazer utilizes adjustable air chamber suspension, as opposed to the steel suspension commonly used in other bikes. Depending upon how seriously you take your mountain biking, you can opt for either the Sport Edition or the Comfort Edition.

Like Mercedes cars, the Trailblazer features high-quality craftsmanship and sophisticated design. The bike becomes available next month at Mercedes dealerships throughout Europe.

DC Limited Edition Quad BMX

April 7th, 2008 by BallerRide

Built in collaboration with SE Bikes, DC’s new Quadangle BMX bike is a collector’s item you’ll want to get your hands on quickly. The Quad remixes SE’s classic 1979 Loop Tail frame design and adds a more vicious aesthetic, highlighted by the bike’s Matte Black finish and larger 24” size.

When DC released its first collaboration with SE last April, the limited edition PK Ripper, those who hesitated before buying were left disappointed.

The SE Quad will be limited to less than 500 bikes and can be found at a small selection of retailers (see the DC link below). With an MSRP of $900, we think this bike’s well worth the cash.

Ben Wilson’s Swarovski-Studded Low Rider

April 4th, 2008 by BallerRide

We’ve seen some flashy low riders in our day, but Ben Wilson’s Swarovski-studded bike takes the cake. The hand-built low rider comes adorned with nearly 110,000 crystals and a clean custom design. Surprisingly, Wilson hails from the UK, but he was inspired to build the bike after a trip to California. The price is only available “on application,” and Wilson warns, “hold your breath.”

If you just like the design and can do without the crystals, Wilson has a gold-colored model available as well.

The fixed-gear bike is a trend that has blown up over the past couple of years with hipsters and the trustafarian set.
