A while ago someone from Aprilla filled in the wrong address on an envelope, sending the Owner’s Manual for the company’s unreleased Dorsoduro model to some arbitrary guy. Of course, said arbitrary guy (who we shall call Bob) realised what he had & did what any upstanding citizen would do: he immediately leaked details from the manual online to the masses of bikers out there.
Fortunately for Bob, there have been no legal implications & Aprilla haven’t been too phased by the leak.
Naturally the leak generated quite a lot of excitement & we even featured the news here on Baller Ride for bike & motard fans to enjoy. Read the rest of this entry »

It seems someone over at Aprilla is going to be in hot water: details of a ‘mistakenly’ posted service manual for a Dosduro 1200 have been posted online. Either that, or the “leak” was deliberate & was intended as a viral marketing campaign to generate buzz & excitement about the bike before its debut in November at the EICMA Show in Milan.
Now if you’re a supermotard fan, then you’ve probably got the Dosduro 750 model in your garage & you know just how much fun the bike (pictured above) is to ride. So you’ll be happy to know that it looks like Aprilla are bringing out a 1200 model later this year – which means you’ll have the versatility of the Dosduro with a beast of an engine.
They also seem to be bringing out a 1200 version of the Shiver, which is also a very sweet ride.

Pharrell Williams & Creative Cycles teamed up to design the artist’s dream bike & all we can say is: “Wow!”. The bike is a modern take on classic American army styling, all packaged in the form of a Cross Bones model from Harley Davidson.
Pharrell & Doug Keim of Creative Cycles worked together to on the design, with the artist favoring the more classic styling of older models, which is why the soft-tail model was chosen.
The details & finishing touches have been designed with a ‘weathered & worn’ look, to fit the bike’s styling and and take the wow factor up a notch.
