Lighteing has unveiled it’s brand new all-electric GT sports car in London. This all-electric sports car is one of two cars in the world that rely on lithium-titanate battery technology and can be fully charged in just a few minutes. Though you’ll have to find somewhere with three-phase industrial power to take advantage of the quick charge, Lightening claims the car’s price tag of $239,400 is well worth it for the new battery technology. Interested in a Lightening GT of your own? They’re rumored to be coming out early-mid 2009.

Can’t take the long wait list for a Smart ForTwo? Another fuel-efficient and budget-friendly minicar is on the way. Although, you won’t want to take it beyond city limits.
Produced by the Nice (No Internal Combustion Engine) electric car company and designed by Giugiaro of Italdesign, the MyCar is a two-person plug-in vehicle debuting this week at the British Motor Show in London (July 23 - Aug 3). While the Nice MyCar produces no carbon emissions and achieves a 40-mile range in normal city driving, the electric minicar tops out at 40mph, as compared with 90mph for the ForTwo and 65mph (and a 110-mile range) for the battery-powered Think City- which is due to hit the U.S. by the end of next year.

Bike? Car? No, it’s a Proxima. This concept blends two vehicle types better than we’ve seen since we started covering the BallerRide space. From the front this concept looks like a car, from the rear a bike, either way we’d like to see the Proxima take off down the freeway. Alvino Design has come up with this sleek aegonomic design that includes two tandum seats inside. If you’re in the market for a bike/car hybrid, than the Proxima is for you.

Devised by a group of British adventurers known as the Skycar Expedition Team, the Parajet Skycar aims to be the world’s first carbon neutral flying car, running on a synthetic biofuel made from organic landfill waste. The group plans to take the flying car on a journey from London to Timbuktu (in Northern Mali) in March of 2009. While the expedition will involve a combination of driving and flying, the team will be piloting the Skycar over the English Channel, the Straights of Gibraltar, and the sand seas of the Sahara desert.
