There is good news for all the ballers who have always had fantasies of deep diving in mini submersibles. Remember those U-Boats from the World War II era? Don’t be afraid; these are not the German U-Boats that created chaos and hell for the Allies. Instead, U-Boat Worx is a submersible watercraft from a Netherland-based company that will allow you to charter an underwater vehicle to a destination of your choice for an uber luxury price tag.
Based on your needs and after discussions with the company, you can choose from the C-Quester 3 and the C-Explorer 2. The company will transport the vehicle to the destination that will be determined by you. No prior knowledge of managing and maintaining the vehicle will be required as U-Boat Worx will provide the crew, technical equipment/support and transport to/from the launch site. The service is being offered on a worldwide basis. If you’re only interested in underwater sight seeing, they even have an itinerary for the cruise.
The C-Quester 3 is a three seater while the C-Explorer 2 can comfortably seat two people including pilot. In both types of vehicles, there is a 360 degree transparent acrylic pressure hull and air conditioning. You will be able to enjoy the views up to a depth of 100 meters (328 feet). The C-Explorer 5, once ready, will be able to ferry passengers to 300 meters (984 feet). Whichever vehicle you choose, you will be able to sight see continuously for up to eight hours.
The charter price for one month (including crew, insurance, parts and so on) is € 75,000 (approximately US$101,915) which narrows down the target audience to ballers only. For more information, please visit U-Boat Worx. Word has it that the company is offering guided dives to interested parties in a C-Quester 3 based in Aruba.
