Anderson Over-Clock the Ferrari California

It’s hard to attain perfection & even harder to improve on it, so when it comes to cars, Ferrari tend to produce engines with results that are pretty much peerless.
But it seems that the engineers over at Ferrari aren’t the only ones asking: “how do you improve perfection?”. The guys over at Anderson in Germany have been asking the same question apparently & they’ve gotten results – which will probably have Ferrari trying to poach a few of the German tuner’s staff members.
The Anderson workshop must be working in overdrive, because they’re churning out tuned up cars at quite a rate in the last few months & their latest offering is the Ferrari California.

Anderson have managed to extract a full extra 55 horsepower from the 4.3 liter V8 engine, resulting in 515 horsepower in total. That’s a full 12% extra! This jump in power is apparently the result of revised engine software & a tri-mode stainless steel exhaust system, which features a remotely-controlled valve with 3 different sound modes available.
The tuners have also slapped on some some classy wheels with a nice split-five spoke design with a carbon fiber center (21 inch in the front & 22-inch at the back). Lowering can be adjusted between 1.37-inch (35mm) lower to 1.57-inch (40mm) higher.
The car’s dampers are also adjustable, meaning that you can drop the car to 1.37 inches lower or raise it up by 1.57 inches, depending on the road surface you expect to be flying down when you take it for a spin.

Aesthetically, Anderson have layered the carbon fiber on, inside & out: its on the spoiler lip, side sills, rear diffuser, rear mud guard, side vents & rear spoiler lip. Inside, carbon fiber trims the air vents, radio facing, centre consoles, door handles, rocker switches & steering wheel.
That’s just the basic carbon fiber kit that you can get – the rest of the interior is customizable according to your tastes.
So if you have a Ferrari California, you should think of contacting the Anderson geniuses to make your ride just that extra bit sweeter than it already is.
