Ferrari 599 GTO: Fastest Must-Have Road Car
April 13th, 2010 by desiree View Comments
Once again Ferrari have left everyone else tasting burnt rubber & exhaust fumes with their latest supercar: the 599 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologata).
Its a monster of a machine, taking you from zero to a million bucks (or 62mph) in just 3.35 seconds & topping out at 208mph. That makes it the fastest production car on the market right now, but that’s ‘production’ in the most exclusive sense of the word because only 599 models will be made available worldwide – so you better get that order in ASAP!

Petrolheads will be impressed with the 661 horsepower & 457 pound-feet of torque at 6,500 r.p.m. that gives the 6 litre V-12 engine its distinct roar. The 1495kg weight results in a weight-to-power ratio of just 2.23 kg/hp, which means lots of power & less drag. Combine that with “highly sophisticated electronic controls”, aerodynamic mods, a “handling set-up tuned for a level of responsiveness that is close to the limit” & you have a very fast ride.
And if the raw power of the GTO 599 isn’t persuasive enough, the styling options will pique your interest: you can configure your Ferrari with your own interior & exterior color & feature options, making it completely unique & fully customized according to your taste.
The car will be officially unveiled at the Beijing International Automative Exhibition later this month & will apparently be retailing at around $460,000.
