Introducing the 2010 Porsche Cayenne S Transsyberia

Porsche has dominated the off-road racing seen with its modified Cayenne S, winning the 4,400-mile Transsyberia rally for the past three years in a row. To commemorate this achievement, the German sports car maker has created a special edition 2010 Cayenne that it will be previewing at the Paris Motor Show next month, dubbed the Cayenne S Transsyberia.
The Cayenne S Transsyberia sprints from 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds, half a second quicker than a stock Cayenne S, due to its powerful 405-hp direct-inject 4.8L V8 from the Cayenne GTS and its 15% shortened 1.4:1 drive ratio.
Stylistically, the new Cayenne’s aggressive looks match its engine power. Each Cayenne S Transsyberia will come standard with a roof-mounted light bar, special side graphics, and color-coordinated 18-inch wheels, rear spoiler, skid plates and air intakes. Exterior color combinations include Black/Orange, Crystal Silver Metallic/Orange, Black/Meteor Grey and Meteor Grey Metallic/Crystal Silver Metallic. These color combinations carry through to the interior, and where there is also a 12 o’clock mark on the steering wheel as a tribute to the SUV’s racing roots.
According to Porsche, European deliveries will start in January 2009, and 600 units of the Cayenne S Transsyberia have been earmarked for North American.
