Roush’s Racing Training Car, for Horses and Camels
June 30th, 2008 by BallerRide No Comments
Here’s one for all you camel jockeys. And we’re being serious. Roush Technologies has just completed the custom and highly complex mobile racing trainer for Turkish-based racehorse and camel training equipment manufacturer Kurt Systems. The racing trainer car moves with the animal at speeds of up to 37 mph, while computerized reigns steer the animal in the direction of the vehicle. An on-board computer system measures heart, blood, oxygen, and other fitness metrics. The vehicle also carries a range of hydraulically-controlled accessories to simulate jockey weights. And a “luxurious” cockpit on the racing trainer car contains seats for the driver, trainer, and veterinary specialist. Whether you’re looking to speed up your horse or camel, Roush’s racing trainer looks poised to do the trick. Unfortunately, since it’s a bespoke production, you’ll have to pony up some serious cash to acquire one of your own.
