Bentley Adds Continental Flying Spur Speed to 2009 Lineup

Along with its launch of the new 2009 Continental Flying Spur Speed, Bentley has announced that it will also be producing a beefed-up Continental Flying Spur Speed. The 600 horsepower Speed adds 48 hp to the standard Continental Flying Spur, allowing the luxury sedan to sprint from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 200mph. The Speed will be the most powerful four-door ever produced by the British car maker.
The Speed delivers enhanced agility and body control due to its lowered ride height, upgraded and redesigned suspension and retuned steering. Desing improvements on the Flying Spur Speed include dark-tinted radiator and air intake grilles, wider rifled exhaust tail pipes and unique 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.
An optional Naim for Bentley audio system features a 1,100 Watt amplifier, the most powerful unit offered in a production car, and 15 custom-built Naim speakers, including dual Naim sub-woofers.
Bentley first introduced the Continental Flying Spur in 2005 and released a popular Speed version of the two-door Continental GT in 2007.
