Delta4x4 Goes Street with its Custom Land Cruiser

The Toyota Land Cruiser is seldom modified with street driving in mind. Germany’s Delta4x4 has bucked this trend with its latest take on the iconic Toyota SUV. With 32 more horsepower than the standard V8 model, Delta4x4′s custom Land Cruiser produces 318 horses total with 575 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a top speed over 135 (not exactly fast, but impressive considering the Cruiser’s size and weight). To compensate for the increased power, Delta4x4 has equipped its land Cruiser with a high performance brake system consisting of a six-piston caliper, a 396 mm perforated brake disc and a steel wrapped hose.
Aesthetically, Delta4x4 has added a European-compliant brush guard to the front of the car, in addition to handmade stainless steel side and rear bars. On the rear of the Delta Cruiser is a stainless steel double-pipe exhaust system. And custom wheels, ranging from 17 to 23 inches, top off the Land Cruiser’s aggressive street look. Those living outside of Europe can order a larger brush guard.
Priced out individually, the engine upgrades run 2,000 euros (U.S. $3,085); the brake system costs 6,760 euros ($10,428); the front, side and rear bars come in at about 5,000 euros ($7,708); and the exhaust system is 700 euros ($1,079).
