We’re not going to pretend that a Volvo is baller, but the company’s new adhesive film designs are a step in the right direction. Starting yesterday in Sweden, Volvo made 20 different patterned film designs available as an option for C30 buyers at an extra cost of 2,000 Euros (U.S. $3,140) per skin. While the film acts to protect the car’s paintjob, Volvo unfortunately recommends replacing it or peeling it off after two years. We’d like to see this trend make it to the States but hope Volvo and other copycat companies figure out a way to lower the prices in the meantime. More images after the jump:

Check out Volvo’s online design tool to fool around with skin looks. Some of the plaid patterns are fly in our opinion. Although, we’d like to see the new Louis Vuitton x Murakami Monogramouflage design make it into the lineup in the future.
