Two years after its launch, the world’s largest privately owned sailing yacht is on the market. Commissioned by venture capitalist Tom Perkins, the 289-foot Maltese Falcon has won a number of high-profile awards for its innovative sail design, which allows the masts to rotate depending on wind direction. Inside the boat, a three-story atrium with a spiral staircase sets the stage for the boat’s grand scale. Six guest cabins and eight crew cabins ensure a luxurious experience for up to 12 guests. A unique deep flight submarine, which is currently being manufactured, will give guests a one-of-a-kind way to explore the seas.

Both the interior and exterior of Maltese Falcon were designed by Ken Freivokh with naval architecture by Gerard Dijkstra & Partners, in cooperation with Perini Navi.

The boat is currently sailing the Pacific and is listed at 115 million euros ($180.4 million).
