Make a Statement on the Runway with Your Own Jumbo Jet

Cruising around the jumbo jet world, we came by a cool ownership opportunity for those interested in flying the clear blue skies like one of the big carriers. This 1998 Boeing 757-200 (ET), complete with a trippy wave and swirl design painted on the fuselage, is for sale out of Kentucky. The aircraft has 29,037 hours logged in the air, which isn’t that bad for a 10 year old plane. But be prepared to reach deep into your pocket as this jumbo jet is being offered up for sale at $47,500,000. At that price you would expect the aircraft to come equipped with an interior fit for a king. But to upgrade the interior of this high flyer to something suitable, be prepared to shell out a little extra for a pre-made design package like the one you see in the thumbnails below (after the jump) from Infusion Design.

So what’s the upside to spending that kind of cash on a 10 year old plane? An aircraft like the Boeing 757 is ready to fly, with each and every piece double and triple checked for quality and safety. This sits in stark contrast to another Jumbo Jet we found on sale for $500,000 pictured after the jump.

The 1969 737-275C available through eBay tots a “factory built cargo door!” as it’s main selling point. Our favorte part of this post was the pictures of the right wing (pictured in thumbnails below), as it seems like the last pilot hit something to dent, bend, and scratch a good 6-ft stretch of the wing. But the dented wing aside, the jumbo jet actually does still fly. There are no current bids and only one day 16 hours left for bidding. Any takers?
