The World’s Fastest Jet Ski: Kawasaki, Yamaha, or Sea-Doo?

In the quest for the world’s fastest out of the box PWC (personal watercraft) we found three contenders that qualify for competition, not surprisingly they come from the top three Jet Ski manufacturers. The Kawasaki Ultra 250X, Sea-Doo RXP-X 255, and the Yamaha FX SHO all bring speed and acceleration to the table, topping out at speeds of 70-85mph. We’ll lay out the specs and let you decide which would win in a match up.

The Yamaha FX SHO “accelerates quicker from 0-30 than a Corvette Z06” with its 1822cc engine. At over 300cc’s larger and 45 pounds lighter than its nearest competitor, this Ski might be the fastest off the line. Coming in stealth black or metallic midnight blue the FX SHO is the first in the industry to offer cruise control, not that we would use that feature. Pricing starts at $11,999.
