A Floating Paradise: Wally Yachts’ 325-Foot WallyIsland
March 20th, 2008 by BallerRide No Comments
Monaco-based Wally Yachts, which we covered last month when they launched their new 64 WallyPower, keeps the hot design concepts coming. And this time they’re at it bigger than ever with their new 325-foot WallyIsland “giggayacht.”
Conceived as a floating personal island, the barge-looking boat features a 10,760-foot main deck designed to hold a large, deep swimming pool, garden spaces, a tennis court, or mini soccer grounds, as well as multiple helipads.
While living quarters are confined to three upper-level decks, WallyIsland can accommodate 40 crew and 24 guests, in addition to those who will be occupying the lavish owners’ quarters.
The enormous aft deck has been designed to house two 45-foot WallyPower tender yachts, other yachts, and watertoys.
Surprisingly, Wally has designed its giggayacht to be pocketbook friendly for its size; the company claims that WallyIsland will cost about as much as a traditional 200’ yacht. Unfortunately, with a fuel capacity just shy of 200,00 gallons, filling up is going to be another story.
