Fresh From Geneva: the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès
March 4th, 2008 by BallerRide View Comments
On display in Geneva is the latest callabo from Bugatti and Hermès: the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès. Just as Maserati has paired up in the past with Ferragamo, the French firms joined forces to create the ultimate luxury super car statement.
Draped in custom Hermès touches, the Bugatti boasts a two-tone color scheme that extends from the hood to the interior of the cockpit, and re-emerges behind, at the level of the rear wing.
The interior is outfitted with Hermès-prepared bull-calf skin, which is better quality than standard leather because bulls’ skins don’t stretch during child bearing. Throughout the cockpit, Hermès has installed its own unique touches, like door handles similar to those found on their travel bags and luggage.
On the exterior, the new Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès features eight-spoked polished aluminum wheels, central butterfly wheel locks branded with the letter H, and air vents around the rims reproducing the characteristic appearance of Hermès saddle stitching. The horseshoe radiator grille, and the lateral ventilation grilles flanking it, are made from lightweight alloys with a design of interlocking H’s evoking the Hermès “signature.”
Under the hood, the Veyron remains stock, still packing the 1001 hp that propel the car from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds.
The car will be available for €1.55 million at the end of 2008.
