FLIR PathfindIR: Night Vision for Any Whip
January 4th, 2008 by BallerRide No Comments
FLIR, known for manufacturing commercial nightvision systems for law enforcement, has introduced their first infrared night vision adaptable for any car. With the PathfindIR system, a camera is mounted in a car grille, and the AV output hooks into any LCD and even some dashboard nav systems.
PathFindIr sees up to 5x further than headlights and produces a clear image in total darkness. The company touts the safety benefits of the PathfindIR, which you’ll see in the video. We think it’s also good for drive-bys and late night drug runs in the Lambo.
The whole system will run you just under $4,500 without the LCD and installation.
